Project Baby Surprise – the Wait is Almost Over

We’re now 24 hours away from the birth of the Project Surprise Baby!

Let me tell you what’s going to go down.

First…John and Kaysie are going to go in Tuesday morning for the scheduled c-section.  We expect baby anywhere between 12:30pm-1:30pm.

All of their family and friends including us new friends will be waiting on pins and needles in the waiting room.

Once baby comes, John will come out to the waiting room with a…I’m going to go old school and call it a boom box. From the boom box will be playing a song.  Everyone in the waiting room has to listen to the song to determine whether or not it’s a girl or boy.

Here are their choices…

For Baby Girl: Daughter by Loudon Wainwright

For Baby Boy: Beautiful Boy by John Lennon

Hey!  No crying yet…because the game’s not over.  Each person in waiting will be given two balloons, one pink and one blue.  Once they’ve figured out if the song represents boy or girl…they pop the WRONG colored balloon.  When they do, confetti for the appropriate gender will scatter to the floor (note to self: bring broom).  Then, everyone will be left with pink or blue balloons to carry down to Kaysie and the baby.

Anyone want to take odds on whether or not any of the balloons pop before I get them to the waiting room??!

Tune in on Tuesday to find out boy or girl!
