Project Surprise: Coming Home

Our Project Baby Surprise Baby BOY comes home!

project baby surpriseThe coming home went like clockwork…

Welcome Home Wreath by Girltastic Grand Galas

Renee and I got there first to set up the food and drink.  The CBS-11 crew arrived, got set up and 15 minutes later John, Kaysie and baby pulled up in front of the house.  Their family pulled up right behind them so everyone walked in together…cameras following close behind.

Catering for the family’s reveal including our favs French Lemonade and the Gouda Pimento Cheese dip from Market Street.
My stomach did a flip when they went to unlcok the door…what if they didn’t like it?
CBS-11 was inside the nursery to catch their reaction.

We knew it was a success when we heard Kaysie trying to hold back the tears

Elle and Mel donated all of the labor on the bedding.

The Peekaboo Crew refinished the changing table to fit the travel theme.

To keep with our theme, we picked up these vintage suitcases (below) at a resale shop…perfect for a side table!

Below is the “no peeking” card we receive from the doctor…it was indeed a boy!

Lone Star Baby donated a super comfy chair to the family’s nursery.

The Big Bro/Big Sis art work turned out wonderful!  Luke and Emily’s art made the room!

The floor pillows are a  signature of Peekaboo’s. These include unltra soft swirl minky to give the the family a cozy place to lounge.

Custom Hassock created by Elle and Mel.
YES Your Event Source donated this refurbished chandelier.
Elle and Mel created this soft cornice in John and Kaysie’s favorite stripe.
We framed the lyrics to the song that was played in the waiting room to let family know boy or girl:  John Lennon’s “Beautiful Boy.”
The nursery was a success!
I do believe they loved it…especially John.  This means a lot since he actually built the room.
Thank you to John, Kaysie, Luke, Emily and all of their friends and family for letting BurbMom.net, Peekaboo Design Group and CBS-11 be a part of this very special time.  And, thank you to all of the sponsors who helped make their experience a memorable one!
