For you fast moms traveling westbound down 1171 (aka Main Street aka CrossTimbers Road) you might want to ease off the gas. Recently the speed limit changed from 50mph to 40mph. That’s correct – the posted speed for 1171 is 40mph all the way through the light at Shiloh.
The new signs have no flags on them indicating that a recent change was made, but the process of swapping out the signs was observed by many people who travel the road several times a day. Police have already been spotted at various points along 1171 – no doubt looking for speed violators.
So slow down and enjoy the scenery – at least that hasn’t changed!
