Thursday – Testing

Have you ever noticed how Bath & Body Works prints the following on all of their products: This finished product not tested on animals.
I’ve always wondered – why do they make such the distinction by using the word finished? Is it that they are just trying to be snobbish or are they, in actuality, trying to lead the public to believe that they don’t test on animals, but really they do? Perhaps they test on animals, but once they have finished a product they don’t test the finished product on them, just all the in-progress products? Hmmm…I have a feeling the latter is more likely than the former, and do you want to know what I think about that? I think it’s shady!
Don’t misunderstand – I’m not some animal right activist, or a vegan consumer – I just think it’s shady to be ambiguous about something that could be such a deal breaker for so many, or that could lead people to believe they are supporting an animal-friendly company if they are in fact, not.
What do you think?

Why is it OK to test it on humans – aren’t WE animals?
