Tuesday – Tires

bianca profileToday I decided to make my own music while driving home. See, I’m a dancer at heart – and the car is no exception to this! I love hearing a fun song come on while I’m driving – and I don’t mind shakin it while I’m going down the highway, or through the neighborhood. Yes, I am that person.

Anyhow, today I was driving home from a friends house and the Black Eyed Peas’ new song, Boom Boom Pow came on. Well, I have been choreographing my own little diddy to this song for some weeks now. So naturally I began my routine. However, I think maybe it wasn’t the best idea to try and perfect this routine while driving around a curve…

BOOM BOOM POW!

That wasn’t my radio. It was my passenger side tires – making their own (unwarranted) contribution to my dance-off. Yikes…

Trying to play it cool I simply slowed down, and put the dancing on hold. After I made sure I had left the scene of the “incident” I pulled over into a park. Music still blaring, I put on my hazard lights and stepped out to assess the “incident.”

Both my hubcaps were misshaped…the front one worse that the back one. As I often do when I bump into things, I tried to kick put them back into place. No luck. So I got back in the car, my spirit slightly dampened and sat still as I headed home.

…and then Britney came on the radio.

Had a friend who went on a roadtrip over the weekend. Everything was fine, until in the morning when he went to leave again and realized all four of his tires were nearly flat. Apparently it was from heat induced tire failure. He had to get all new tires. I dont know the circumstance to your hubcaps, but I wonder if its possible for them to become heat warped with all the heat we’ve had…
